British Airways has today launched a number of comedy videos for the upcoming ‘Red Nose Day’ charity event, featuring David Walliams, Tom Daley and Emma Bunton, who are all dressed as British Airways staff, surprising customer in Heathrow Terminal 5, in support of Comic Relief, the UK airline’s charity partner.
Spice Girl and radio presenter Emma Bunton can be seen in the video at BA’s ‘check-in kiosks’, assisting unsuspecting customers, asking if they may have packed nay ‘sporty or ginger’ products.
Little Britain and Come Fly With Me comedian David Walliams, who’s no stranger to acting out airport staff roles, assumes the role of customer service assistant ‘Dave’. Walliams asks unassuming customers to pose for security photos, and is seen kissing a passenger’s passport at one point.
Olympic medallist Tom Daley is also in on the action, assisting customers with their luggage and persuading them to carry out some dive moves before flying.
Troy Warfield, British Airways’ director customer experience, said: “This year Red Nose Day is going back to its comedy roots, and we’re delighted to be supporting it with these great films from some of the nation’s favourite personalities working a shift at British Airways.
“The video is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to customers and staff for helping us raise over £15 million over the past seven years.”
Red Nose Day takes place every two years for Comic Relief, which encourages people to make the world a better place by simply having fun and enjoying themselves. The charity raises money for people who really need it most across the UK and some of the world’s poorest communities.
