British Airways has been offering students work experience placements for many years now and their programme has recently been accredited as gold standard by Fair Train, meaning the placements on offer are of a very high quality. They are now offering this exciting Flight Operations placement to interested students.
On offer are three-day placements at either Cardiff or Edinburgh during August 2017 for aspiring Airline Pilots. Flight Operations is the department that involves pilots in BA along with the background support that goes with that team of pilots.
During the three day placement you will have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding and appreciation of what it’s like to be a pilot at a leading airline like BA. During this placement you will also have the opportunity to go gliding in partnership with the Air League Trust.

Work experience is an ideal way for students to gain real insights into the schemes that BA offers to young people, including apprenticeship and graduate schemes. What do I need to apply?
The British Airways Work Experience Programme is aimed at full time students in the Cardiff or Glasgow community either at school or college (not university).
To apply, you must:
- Have a valid passport
- Be in Year 10/S4 or above
- Be in full time education in school or college (not university)
- Attend a school or college based in one our local community OR have a relative that works for British Airways.
